New Retrospective Gallery

Saturday 5th  August 2017

I found some images, well quite a few images, of older artworks that I had created. Some of which I had totally forgotten about.

What to do with the images? Well I have started to create a Retrospective page to The Art Pod website, there are only 9 images on the page at the mo, but I will be adding more soon.

You'll find the tab at the top of the page.

Sunday 16th  July 2017

Always looking for ways to encourage new Artpodders to join us, we are starting to add virtual galleries to the courses & workshops page.  The virtual galleries will showcase the artworks created during each individual course & workshop.

Sunday 28th May 2017

Had a great time at the Gosport Marine Festival yesterday. Through Eb & Flo's continued popularity and Lisa's Rock Pets it means that we can eat this week!  Thank you to all that came and supported us and the event.

Really enjoyed it, but by the end I was dreaming about a certain bottle of Captain Morgans that had my name on it 😵

Title:  Untitled

Everyone that has seen the painting in the flesh has commented that the photo does not do it justice and I have to agree. So if you want to see it it'll be on show at the Gosport Marine Festival tomorrow.

Work in Progress

Tuesday 23th May 2017

New acrylic painting in the making by me Al' Warner.  I had to mention my name just in case you thought it was by one of my Artpodders, the standard of their work these days is outshining my own! (note to self, ban students from creating such blooming great artwork!).

Anyway I digress.

The painting is acrylic on canvas 20" x 30", as yet untitled  and I hope to to complete it in time to show in Trinity Church at the Gosport Marine Festival on Saturday 27th May.

A Visitor from Afar

Wednesday 25th January 2017

Today we had our furthest traveling Art Podder attend this afternoon's art club... 1007 miles to be precise!

Carole was one of our Wednesday afternoon regulars until she moved to Naples a fair few moons ago. Now when ever she is in the area she pops back in for a catch up and a couple of hours painting.

Opposite is the Tuscan landscape with Poppies that she painted today. Well done Carole, look forward to you joining us again in the Summer, you never know maybe one day we'll do an Italian Art Club Trip in the future

A Visit from The News

Tuesday 24th January 2017

Today at our Tuesday morning Art Club we were honoured with the presence of a journalist and two photographers from The News.  They came to photograph and interview Myself, Lisa and the Art Club for a feature in this Saturday's News.

Classroom Expanded

Friday 20th  January 2017

After the Art Club finished at midday on Friday 20th Lisa & myself spent the following 9 hours changing the studio around to make the classroom bigger, lighter and more user friendly.  We think that you will like the changes.  (25th January 2017) so far it has had very good reviews from the few that have seen and used it.

Painting En Plein Air

Friday 8th July 2016

Thank you to all that came down to see and support me painting En plein air at Leon's Bistro, Lee on the Solent today. And thank you to Leon's Bistro for allowing me to do so. I really enjoyed being out in the open and meeting lots of people, I had a fantastic response from the younger generation which was refreshing.

Unfortunately I only managed to get two hours painting time in as the wind picked up too much. I would loved to have finished it on site. I will have to finish the painting in the studio.
